Counseling and Post-Doctoral Residency Program
Counseling Residency Track
The Center has one of the most established and respected residency programs in counseling in North Texas. We offer professional supervision in a unique training environment for those seeking to fulfill their clinical hours requirements toward full licensure in the LPC, LMFT and LCSW tracks. Residents receive weekly individual supervision as well as opportunities to integrate theology and spirituality with therapeutic theory and skill development. Each of the Center's supervisors is board-approved by the state of Texas for their particular license(s).
Post-Doctoral Residency Track
The Center's post-doctoral residency program offers professional supervision in a unique training environment for psychologists entering their post-doctoral year. Post-doctoral fellows receive weekly individual supervision under a licensed psychologist and are assigned to a small supervision group that meets biweekly.
Fellows participate in the center's weekly collaborative therapy program as well as other training opportunities designed to support the integration of theology, spirituality, and psycho-therapeutic theory in clinical practice. Fellows will also be expected to offer educational programs of their own to The Center clinical staff at certain points during their post-doc year and in consultation with their supervisor and the director of training. Post-doctoral fellows can expect to commit approximately 60% of their practice time to evaluative testing and 40% to their clinical caseload.
