First United Methodist Church of Richardson recognizes the importance of making professional support available for our congregation and the community offering help through changes and challenges. The Center will now offer these services in collaboration with our church and its ministries.
The Center accepts private-pay and our services are covered by most insurance companies and Employee Assistance Plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, allowing our clients to use their health benefits for mental health care.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
The Main Entrance (labeled as such on the doors) is on the south side of the campus inside the Ministry Center building. There is a doorbell, please use it if the Security Ambassador hasn’t already unlocked the doors for you. Tell the staff at the Welcome Desk that you have an appointment with “The Center”. You will be directed to the Shawver Welcome Center (to your right) stairs/elevator (to your left after entering Shawver) for access to the second floor. When stepping out of the elevator, you will see chairs, couches and bookshelves in the corner nearest the door. Please wait there, and your counselor will come to get you for your appointment.
