First United Methodist Church Allen has long recognized the importance of making professional support available for our congregation and the community offering help through changes and challenges. The Center will now offer these services in collaboration with our church and its ministries.
The Center accepts private-pay and our services are covered by most insurance companies and Employee Assistance Plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, allowing our clients to use their health benefits for mental health care.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
Clients seeing Vanessa Vaughter at First United Methodist Church Allen should park near the South Entrance, which has an "Office" sign over a covered walkway. If the doors are locked, they can press the doorbell, and the church receptionist or staff will grant access. If no one answers, they should wait for Vanessa to escort them inside.
Outside the hours of 9-1 on Thursday, we don’t have a receptionist. Outside these hours on Thursday clients should reach out to Vanessa directly for access.
Once inside, clients should take the stairs immediately to their right. At the top of the stairs, they will turn right and walk past the elevator. Then, they will take another right and either wait for Vanessa at the seating area across from the water fountains or enter the Connatser Library, the first door on the right.
For those who need to use the elevator, they should walk past the stairs on the right and enter the hallway on the right. The elevator will be on the right in this hallway. They will take the elevator to the second floor, exit, turn right, and then take another right. The waiting area is across from the water fountains, and Vanessa will see clients inside the Connatser Library, the first door on the right.
