Dr. Brad Schwall, MDiv, DMin

President & Chief Executive Officer

Philosophy

Dr. Schwall has been providing counseling, offering training, developing programming, and teaching within the fields of ministry, education, non-profit leadership, and mental health for more than 30 years. As President & CEO of The Center for Integrative Counseling and Psychology, Dr. Schwall provides leadership to The Center’s mission to help churches and organizations be caring communities by creating networks of care for accessible counseling, assessments, and mental health education.

He has served at The Center as a therapist and now leader for close to 20 years of his career with time also spent working in the church at Park Cities Baptist Church and in education within the Highland Park ISD.  Dr. Schwall has served as an adjunct professor at Baylor University’s George W. Truett Theological Seminary teaching Pastoral Care and the course Mental Health in Ministry since the Fall of 2022. He is featured regularly on Dallas/Fort Worth’s ABC affiliate, WFAA-TV, speaking on mental health and current events and tragedies within our world as well as on practical strategies for navigating parenting and relationships. 

After receiving his Bachelor of Science in education from Baylor University, he completed his Master of Divinity degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, the Clinical Residency in Pastoral Psychotherapy at The Center, and his Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Psychotherapy at Garrett Theological Seminary on the campus of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
