Philosophy

Life is all about relationships, either with others or even with ourselves. Oftentimes events and relationships from our past impact the way we see ourselves and relate to others in the present. My goal as your therapist is to work together to understand where life's challenges come from and develop a plan so you can live a life of greater happiness with deeper, more meaningful connection. In this process, I feel comfortable integrating faith or spirituality as desired.

Chris has been providing counseling in a community counseling setting connected with a church for more than seven years. He has worked extensively with couples and families both as a counselor and as a Family Pastor. Chris values the opportunity to help restore the connection of couples, as well as adolescents and their families.

Chris grew up as a pastor’s kid and later spent more than 20 years as an associate pastor. This experience gave Chris a heart for those who serve on church staff. Chris officiates weddings and enjoys the privilege of walking with couples through premarital counseling.

Several years ago, Chris was diagnosed with tinnitus and is grateful to help others manage living with it. Chris experienced the healing power of EMDR as a client, and now as a clinician gets to help clients find hope and healing from trauma through EMDR.

Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and two adult children. You’re likely to find them on a Disney trip or at the movies. He also loves running half marathons, especially at RunDisney as well as at trail races. When not running or spending time with his family, you’ll probably find his nose in a good book!
