Philosophy

Everyone experiences ups and downs in life. These challenges arise from many life situations. This is normal, and in working through these rough patches, we learn to become healthy, resilient, productive, independent adults. My goal for therapy is to work with you in discovering your personal strengths and how to build on them so that you can have meaningful, satisfying relationships and regain your enthusiasm for life.

Jane K. Toler earned her Ph.D. in Counseling from the University of North Texas and M.S. and B.A. degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She has been in the mental health field since 1996.

She led a support group for 13 years for healing from parent and adult-child estrangement, facilitated groups for domestic violence recovery, and served as an adjunct member at the University of North Texas Counseling program. She volunteered at the Suicide and Crisis Center in Dallas and is an affiliate of the Stepfamily Association of America, now known as the National Stepfamily Resource Center.

She has presented at conferences and to small groups on topics including The Activation of the Soul and the Journey to Wholeness; Flourishing and Experiencing Peace, Hope and Happiness in Your Life; Healing Relationships; Parental Alienation; Supervised Visitation.
