Philosophy

Life is full of unexpected challenges; no one is immune from them. Situations can feel out of control or even hopeless. But there is hope! Without judgment I will listen to you and form a plan to help you get where you want to be. Through a warm, cooperative relationship we partner together to find solutions that work for you. I work with adolescents, adults, couples and families. I am here to listen, encourage and support you!

Lauren pursued a Master’s degree at Seminary in Counseling and Christian Education with the hope of equipping people to navigate life’s struggles. During seminary, Lauren worked at a local church as the Student director. After Seminary, she took a pause from counseling to focus on homeschooling her young children.

Through a series of difficult life circumstances and many military deployments Lauren’s marriage tragically ended. During this difficult process she took steps toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. She started counseling in March 2020 at Community Counseling Associates in Allen. It was there that Lauren was trained on Gottman couples therapy and DBT therapy skills. She worked with all ages of people from 5 years old to retirement age including couples and families. It was an incredible period of growth where Lauren decided to gain certification for Trauma therapy through ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) to further help clients. She has developed a passion for trauma treatment, attachment issues, divorce and blended families as well as military families.

Lauren enjoys spending time with her family camping and playing games together. She spends her spare time working on a PhD in Psychology and reading books preferably while drinking coffee!
