Philosophy

Are you feeling stuck—held back by thoughts or beliefs that make it hard to move forward and live the life you want?

I believe that growth is possible for everyone. With the right support, you can learn to shift unhelpful beliefs, make intentional choices, and develop a more compassionate and empowered view of yourself. I would be honored to walk alongside you in that process.

I work collaboratively with clients, creating a space where insight, healing, and change can happen. I have experience supporting both teens and adults who are navigating the impact of trauma, as well as those dealing with grief, anxiety, depression, dissociative disorders, personality and mood disorders, relationship challenges, life transitions, divorce, and couples counseling.

If you’re ready to explore what healing and growth could look like for you, let’s talk.

Melissa offers clients a deep understanding of many life struggles and issues. For many years, Melissa worked in marketing and insurance. During her time in business, she developed skills in collaboration, communication, and social development. After raising two children, Melissa realized she wanted to employ all the skills she had learned from both corporate life and family life to help others maneuver through complicated life experiences.

Melissa’s primary therapeutic styles are Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). She is also trained in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Prepare Enrich for couples.

In her free time, Melissa enjoys traveling, exploring the outdoors, reading, and cooking. She values spending time with her parents, two daughters, family, and friends.
