Philosophy

Being human, like most, I have my own past with it’s own set of hurts, habits and hang ups. Through overcoming and learning from events that have happened in my life, I’ve developed a deep love for helping others on their own personal journey to recovery. My favorite definition of mental health says that mental health is the unwavering commitment to reality at all cost. I want to help you be honest with yourself and identify what you’re feeling and thinking so that you can process through it, heal, and ultimately, become better equipped for whatever life throws at you.

Rachel is a Licensed Professional Counselor and received her Master of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from Texas A&M University. She has experience counseling individuals and leading therapy groups in both partial hospitalization programs and intensive outpatient programs as well as nonprofit and university settings. She also has experience counseling families and couples and has training in Marriage and Family Therapy.

When she’s not seeing clients, Rachel enjoys being a mom to three littles still at home and wife to her high school sweetheart. She loves a good cup of coffee, yummy food and intentional conversations.
