Philosophy
I believe that we are created to love and be loved. Our relationships impact, affect, and shape us into who we are and how we interact with one another. In relationships, we often endure events and experiences that can create hurt and wounds. Just as our physical wounds require attention and care in order to heal, our mental and emotional wounds also require attention, care, and intentionality for healing. I firmly believe the healing of one’s mind, body, and spirit are fully unified with one another.
My job as a marriage and family therapist is to offer a safe space for clients in which they can explore all aspects of themselves and the impact of their relationships in order to change what needs to be changed. Through relationships, we can endure hurt, but we can also encounter hope and healing. Utilizing an integrated experiential approach, I aid clients in the cultivation of a more desirable way of life and healing towards living out of their true goodness and dignity for themselves and their loved ones.
Victoria is an active member of her church and has a great love for service. Through the gift of ministry with youth and families, she began to see the need and call to journey with, counsel, and heal God’s children. Victoria completed her internship and practicum year with a non-profit counseling agency in Garland, Texas. This experience presented many challenging and championing moments both professionally and personally for Victoria. She is honored and grateful for the experience of walking with clients in her home community. Victoria is also very excited to continue walking with people on their journey towards healing and experiencing life in abundance.
