Your Gift Heals One Life at a Time
Mental health care should be accessible to every person who needs it. Your year-end gift helps someone take the first brave step toward healing.
For more than fifty-seven years, The Center for Integrative Counseling and Psychology has walked with people through some of the hardest seasons of their lives. The Center serves children, teens, adults, couples, and entire families. It provides educational and psychological assessments, counseling, and training for professionals and the community. Most of all, The Center meets people where they live, work, play, and pray.
This year, thousands of people have reached out for help. Many are carrying trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, or the quiet weight of feeling alone. Many of them cannot pay for care. That is where generosity becomes essential. A gift to The Center removes the barriers that keep people from the help they need.
Help Someone Receive the Care They Need
At partner sites across Dallas and beyond, clinicians hear stories every day that remind us how powerful it is when someone shows up to meet another person with compassion. A seven-year-old child who had struggled to feel safe finally told one of our therapists that they felt seen and cared for. At another partner site, a therapist from The Center was embraced by a staff member because of the trust that had formed. These moments are small on the surface, but they mark the beginning of healing that can last for years.
We also see the courage of adults who are rebuilding their lives.
Rosa came to The Center in a season of change. Her three sons were stepping into adulthood, and she felt herself fading into the background. She had poured everything into her family and was left wondering who she was now. Through therapy provided at a partner site, Rosa slowly began to rediscover the parts of herself she had set aside for years. She remembered her dreams. She began to imagine again. Her confidence grew, piece by piece.
Carmen's story is different but just as powerful. After losing her job of twenty years, she described feeling lost. Depression had taken root in every part of her life. Step by step, she worked with one of our clinicians to understand her emotions, rebuild daily routines, reconnect with her support system, and take small steps forward. The day she passed her GED test, she walked into her session taller. Healing had taken hold.
Many of the people The Center serves have stories like these. Parents grieving unimaginable loss. Families working to heal from trauma. Young adults seeking stability. People of all ages trying to make sense of change. At every step, donor generosity helps make space for healing.
When someone gives to The Center, they support therapy sessions, assessments, and educational programs for people who may have nowhere else to go. Their gift helps bring trusted care directly into communities with the greatest need. It strengthens partnerships that make mental health support accessible to people facing poverty, language barriers, or the stigma that surrounds asking for help.
The Center is the largest nonprofit counseling provider in North Texas that integrates faith and mental health care. Forty-nine clinicians provide more than thirty-three thousand sessions each year, serving more than seven thousand people. The reach is broad, but the work is personal. It always comes back to one life at a time.
A year-end gift ensures that someone can sit down with a trained clinician and take the first step toward hope. It helps a parent breathe again. It helps a child feel safe. It helps an adult regain their strength. It helps a family navigate grief, trauma, or change with support that meets them exactly where they are.
Healing begins with a single act of generosity. Thank you for making care accessible to the people who need it most.
