Our partnerships with health care organizations allow clients to be seen at physician’s and health care provider’s locations.

The Center has developed partnerships with health care systems and physician groups to collaborate with physicians in caring for the mental health needs of patients through systematized referral processes and communication about patient care. We provide integrated behavioral health care within community clinics. Center staff co-locate within community organizations providing training about mental health for staff, providing psychotherapy for children and adult clients, and leading therapeutic and educational programs. Our staff goes into schools providing training and onsite psychotherapy for youth. The Center provides counseling at churches, raises awareness about mental health issues at churches through workshops and groups, and serves as a referral source for the faith community across North Texas and Waco.

Support for Behavioral Health in Health Care

The Center is a member of the Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance and has been working with Baylor Scott & White Health on strengthening access to behavioral health care and network utilization. We co-locate offering counseling within two physicians’ offices of Family Health Care Associates. The Center’s model of taking services to the community matches well with the emphasis within health care on population health and better meeting the behavioral health needs of patients. The Center’s ability to co-locate psychotherapists within physician group practices and its capacity to receive referrals enables the Center to offer a solution to the need for increased access and effective referral processes.
